Your Responsibilities in Controlling and Finance

In this position, you will take on a central role in the financial management of our two Dresden hotels. You will combine operational responsibility with controlling and a clear focus on economic development.

• You will have overall responsibility for the finance and accounting of Bülow Palais and Bülow Residenz.

• You will independently prepare monthly financial statements and coordinate/prepare annual closing activities.

• General ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable accounting, as well as balance sheet and account reconciliations, will be your responsibility.

• You will ensure proper bookkeeping and compliance with commercial and tax law regulations.

• You will reliably monitor daily sales, cash, and payment controls.

• You will manage payment transactions and continuously monitor/plan liquidity.

• You will be responsible for preparatory payroll accounting and work closely with our external payroll service provider.

• You will independently prepare and update the budget, forecast, and liquidity plan for both hotels in coordination with the General Manager and the Director of Finance.

• You will analyze monthly business results and explain significant deviations from budget, forecast, and previous year.

• You will prepare meaningful management reports, analyses, and decision proposals for the General Manager and the Director of Finance.

• You will monitor, analyze, and comment on relevant hotel key figures according to USALI – especially in the areas of Rooms, F&B, Personnel, and operational costs.

• Together with department heads, you will work on budget control, cost management, productivity, and the economic management of their areas.

• You will conduct profitability calculations and investment analyses for planned projects and acquisitions.

• You will collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, authorities, and other external partners.

• You will lead and further develop the employees in the finance department, both professionally and operationally.

• Furthermore, you will develop our internal control system and optimize financial processes, systems, and reporting structures.What you bring to the table

• You have a successfully completed degree in economics with a focus on finance and accounting, or a comparable commercial qualification.

• You have sound professional experience in a similar position in finance and accounting.

• You possess in-depth knowledge in the area of HGB (German Commercial Code) and controlling.

• You work in a structured, analytical manner and have strong communication skills.

Your Start and Framework Conditions

You will start in a permanent employment contract with a weekly working time of 40 hours and a probationary period of 6 months. In your first few months, you will take over ongoing financial processes, familiarize yourself with the internal systems, and support the upcoming monthly financial statements. Those who meet most of the requirements but do not yet have years of routine in every area should still apply.

Compensation and Benefits

For this position, an annual salary of EUR 60,000–80,000 applies.
