Job description
About Credix
Credix is a FinTech company dedicated to growing businesses in Latin America.
We originate more than R$700M per year in B2B credit to Brazilian SMEs through CrediPay, our embedded finance platform. We operate in a segment where traditional financial infrastructure is limited, building proprietary credit intelligence and risk frameworks that do not yet exist in this market.
By combining structured capital markets solutions with real-time credit decisioning, we enable marketplaces and suppliers to offer seamless payment terms to their buyers, while we manage risk, pricing, and capital efficiency behind the scenes.
We are not a traditional lender. We are building the risk engine that powers scalable B2B commerce in Brazil.
Why Join Credix?
- Become part of a forward-thinking FinTech primed for scale and that is tackling some of the most interesting high volume credit operations in the market.
- Work closely with the Head of Finance and play a pivotal role in financial operations and cost control.
- Gain exposure to high-impact financial planning, process automation, and regulatory compliance while receiving support to develop yourself as a tech-savvy controller.
- Competitive salary, equity options, and an opportunity to make a real impact in Brazil’s digital B2B transformation.
About the Role
We’re looking for a data-minded Financial Controller that can establish accurate financial controls, optimizes costs, ensures compliance, and drives strategic financial decision-making at Credix. This position bridges operational excellence with forward-looking financial strategy. The Financial Controller will be instrumental in ensuring financial transparency, operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment, allowing Credix to make data-driven decisions on growth investments, pricing, and resource allocation.
Responsibilities
- Implementing strong internal controls aligned with Brazilian regulatory and tax requirements (IFRS, US GAAP).
- Ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost tracking, budget adherence, and variance analysis.
- Building financial models and forecasts that tie company KPIs to unit economics and growth initiatives.
- Leading FP&A analytics to answer critical questions: What drives profitability? Where should we invest? What's our path to profitability?
- Optimizing cost structures and driving profitability.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in Financial Controlling, FP&A, Cost Control, or similar finance roles.
- Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis.
- Analytical mindset with experience in cost management, expense tracking, and profitability analysis.
- Knowledge of Brazilian tax regulations, IFRS, GAAP, and financial compliance requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and scenario analysis.
- Tech-savvy with experience using SQL, Python, BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI), or financial automation tools.
- Experience with ERP systems and accounting software.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate financial insights into business recommendations.
- Process-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Previous experience in fintech, credit, lending, or financial services is a strong advantage.
