Finance Systems & Automation Manager (m/w/d)

Our clubs combine high-quality facilities in central inner-city locations with digital innovation and human warmth to make padel a permanent part of everyday life – whether it's for a quick game or as a 'Third Place' for various experiences.

Aufgaben

You will build the finance system for the next growth phase of mitte: scalable processes, a modern finance and BI stack, automations, and AI workflows that make finance faster, data-driven, and less manual.

The goal is to have finance grow with the number of locations, not linearly. You ensure that each new club seamlessly integrates into existing structures – instead of generating additional manual effort each time.

You are close enough to operational finance processes to really understand them – your main task is to make them better, more automated, and scalable.

Your tasks:

1. Finance Process Design & Skalierung

• Process analysis and standardization: You analyze existing finance, controlling, and reporting processes and develop clear, scalable standards for our growing multi-location business.
• Scalable finance structures: You build process logics for topics like cost centers, location costs, accounting flows, approvals, forecasting, monthly reporting, and actual vs. planned comparisons.
• Reduction of manual work: You identify manual, error-prone, or non-scalable workflows and translate them into documented, repeatable, and preferably automated processes.
• Club rollout & integration: You ensure that new clubs are finance-side integrated into existing structures without generating additional manual complexity.

2. Finance Systems, Tool-Stack & Automatisierung

• Finance & reporting stack: You develop our finance and reporting stack further and connect relevant systems like accounting, banking, payment, booking systems, planning, and BI.
• System integration & data flows: You create clean interfaces and data flows so that finance and reporting data are consistent, traceable, and efficient to use.
• Automations & AI workflows: You build automations and AI-supported workflows for recurring finance and reporting processes, such as data checking, deviation analysis, reporting comments, or forecasting support.
• Tool evaluation & implementation: You evaluate modern tools, low-code/no-code solutions, APIs, scripts, and AI applications and implement practical solutions with real efficiency gains.

3. BI, Reporting & Controlling-Logik

• BI & reporting structure: You build a clean reporting structure that provides reliable decision-making bases for management, finance, and operations.
• Dashboards & KPI logics: You develop dashboards, data models, and KPI logics for central steering questions around growth, performance, and profitability.
• Unit economics & location control: You define and analyze key figures for revenue, utilization, club & court performance, location costs, and unit economics.
• Management reporting & business cases: You support monthly reporting, actual vs. planned comparisons, deviation analysis, as well as business cases for new locations, pricing models, and growth initiatives.

• You work not only on reports or individual tools, but shape the structures with which mitte can scale in the next few years: from clean processes over data models and dashboards to AI-supported workflows.
• The role combines finance, operations, data, and technology. You are close to operational questions of the business and ensure that decisions are based on reliable numbers instead of gut feeling.
• You get a lot of space to practically apply modern tools, automation, and AI. Not as buzzwords, but with the clear goal of reducing manual work, creating transparency, and building finance so that it grows with our growth.

Qualifikation

• You have 2-5 years of experience in finance, controlling, BI, data analytics, or a comparable role.
• You have a good understanding of finance and controlling connections and can translate operational finance processes into scalable systems.
• You think strongly in processes, data flows, and automation – and enjoy replacing manual work with better structures and tools.
• You are very confident in Excel or Google Sheets and have experience with BI tools like Metabase, Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or similar solutions.
• You have already worked with automations tools, low-code/no-code tools, APIs, SQL, Python, or similar technologies.
• You actively use AI in your daily work and have a good feeling for where AI really makes efficiency – and where the process needs to be clean first.
• You work structured, independently, and pragmatically.
• You speak fluent German and English.
