Your Role

In your role as an intern in Finance Operations, you will form the reliable backbone of our finance team. You will manage the complete Accounts Payable processes, actively support the introduction of new systems and processes, and act as a key interface with external tax advisors. At the same time, you will ensure smooth, structured processes in our subsidiaries. Alongside the Finance Lead and CFO, you will gain comprehensive insights into all financial structures, from individual documents to strategic liquidity management.

What You Will Do

• Accounts Payable: You will manage our incoming invoice workflow from A to Z – processing the mail inbox, chasing invoices, executing approval processes, and making payments. Diligence and an eye for detail are crucial here.

• Booking Quality: You will ensure that invoices are recorded with the correct accounts, cost centers, and tax rates. You are the first point of contact before bookings are sent to our tax advisors and will assist with accounting inquiries.

• Subsidiaries: You will regularly review the P&Ls of our subsidiaries, identify deviations and implausibilities, and ensure that specified processes are consistently adhered to.

• Liquidity Management & System Implementation: You will learn to work with Agicap – our central tool for incoming and outgoing invoices, payment flows, and liquidity management. You will also support the rollout in our subsidiaries, train the local teams, and ensure high data quality and completeness.

• Ad-hoc & Ops Interface: You will also pitch in when things get busy. Whether it's for finance-related special projects or occasional support in the Ops area.

You Will Be A Good Fit If

• You love ownership and don't wait for someone else to find an invoice, correct an error, or tidy up a process – you see it, you fix it.

• You don't see bookkeeping as a tedious mandatory task, but understand why the choice of account is relevant – for reporting, for taxes, for the big picture.

• You can quickly get to grips with a tool you've never seen before. Agicap, Moss, Lucanet, Datev – if you know one of them, you'll quickly learn the others.

• You remain capable of action in ambiguity. In a startup, processes are often under development. You help build them instead of waiting for established structures.

• You combine quality with pragmatism. You do it right – but you also know when "good enough" is better than "perfect in three weeks".

• You speak fluent German and English. Communication with our tax advisors and subsidiaries is in German, while we communicate internally in English. Hard requirement.

• You want to work from our office in Prenzlauer Berg. This is not a remote role. Hard requirement.
