Purpose of the function
As a Finance Manager, you are responsible for managing the accounting team and monitoring the financial processes within the Richa Group, of which MKC Moto is a part. You ensure reliable, timely reports and have a keen eye for quality and opportunities for improvement. You effortlessly switch between daily operational responsibilities and broader financial strategy. In doing so, you play an active role in further professionalizing the organization and contribute to a solid financial foundation for future growth.

Content of the function
You combine financial expertise with leadership and are a key player within the finance team. With your organizational skills and communication skills, you ensure control over processes and planning, good cooperation with internal and external stakeholders and continuous improvement of the financial operation. You work at group level and thus have a broad financial playing field in which you can really make an impact.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Manage a (small) team;
  • Coordinate month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings;
  • Oversee a sound goods administration and internal control;
  • Optimize and automate financial processes and ERP systems;
  • Act as a point of contact for external accountants and auditors;
  • Monitor the liquidity position and coordinate payments across different entities;
  • Contribute to the integration of new entities (such as in acquisitions);
  • Report to the CFO and contribute to financial strategy;
  • Occasionally participate in the accounting to keep in touch with the operation.

Position within the organization
You report to the CFO and work closely with the Business Controller. You manage two accountants (one in the Netherlands and one in Belgium) and have regular contact with internal stakeholders such as the CEO, MT members, logistics, purchasing, PE partner and external parties such as banks and accountants.

To be successful in this role, you are more than just a strong finance professional. You have the ability to plan clearly, switch quickly and operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-growing organization. You are proactive, take initiative and find it natural to suggest improvements without having to wait for instructions. You communicate clearly with colleagues at all levels and build lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • HBO/WO work and thinking level in accountancy, finance or a comparable field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant work experience, preferably within a dynamic industry;
  • Experience in managing a small accounting team;
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and reporting processes; Experience with ERP systems and affinity with process optimization;
  • Able to devise and implement pragmatic solutions;
  • Flexible, stress-resistant and efficient in an environment with a lot of ad-hoc activities;
  • Excellent communication skills, both in Dutch and English;
  • Experience with international structures and stakeholder management is an advantage.
