Finance Manager (Fintech/Commercial Financial Management)

As they scale, they are looking for a hands-on Finance Manager who thrives in ambiguity, rolls up their sleeves, and builds robust financial processes from the ground up. Job Type: Full-time Location: Cape Town Workplace: Hybrid Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from a top-tier university. Qualified CA(SA) or member of a recognized professional accounting body. Minimum of 5 years’ post-articles experience in financial management, preferably within the fintech or payments industry. Experience with financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, NetSuite). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning. Oversee the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements. Implement and maintain strong internal controls. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains. Provide financial support and guidance to other departments.
