Tasks

• Surety of a proper, timely annual individual closing statement according to HGB
• Guarantee regulatory conformity regarding tax law, reporting obligations and statutory requirements
• Steering of operational and strategic financial planning including budget processes, forecasts and multi-year planning
• Total leadership of the Finance organization in Germany with several team leaders in the areas of Accounting, Business Controlling, Liquidity Management/Treasury and Tax
• Sparring partner for the management on investment decisions, economic analyses and commercial questions
• Representation of the company against auditing firms, financial institutions and relevant authorities
• Closely coordinated with Group Finance and internal audit to ensure uniform reporting and control standards
• Responsibility for financial evaluations in the context of acquisitions as well as accompaniment of the integration of new units
• Operative involvement in key areas such as result steering, working capital management and management of financial liabilities
• Further development of system landscapes, governance structures and internal control mechanisms
• BUILDING AND DEVELOPMENT OF HIGH-PERFORMANCE LEAD TEAMS INCLUDING STRUCTURED SUCCESSION PLANNING
• Shaping a performance-oriented and cooperative leadership culture

Qualification

• Degree with focus on finance, accounting or comparable; additional qualifications are welcome
• Long-term professional experience in the financial sector with overall responsibility for larger units in Germany
• In-depth expertise in accounting according to HGB; IFRS knowledge is advantageous
• Fundamental knowledge of German tax and commercial law
• Demonstrable experience in leading complex organizations as well as transformation or optimization projects
• Strategic competence and ability to position finance as a business enabler
• Very good German and English skills (at least C1 level each)
• Sovereign handling of ERP systems
• Communication strength, including the ability to connect different stakeholder levels
• Industry knowledge in capital-intensive or asset-based business models is a plus
• Pragmatism, decision-making enthusiasm and clear leadership attitude
