The company rejects poor quality. From a Swabian family business in tool manufacturing, a growing e-commerce brand for sustainable, high-quality products "Made in Germany" has emerged. With over 250,000 baskets sold, the company is on a clear growth trajectory – with new product lines and new sales channels. To ensure the next steps are successful on a solid financial basis, the company is looking for reinforcement.

Your Role

You will build controlling from scratch – and transform gut feelings and Excel spreadsheets into real, data-based steering. You will report directly to management, have full scope for action, and become the central point of contact for all commercial matters.

Tasks

• Build Controlling: Establish KPI scorecard and Single Source of Truth, ongoing run rate, budget planning, and rolling forecast with scenarios
• KPI Steering: Build a dashboard with relevant metrics (CAC, MER, Advertising Cost Ratio, Contribution Margin after Advertising)
• Liquidity & Cash: Rolling 13-week liquidity planning and planning for the pre-financing of our international production
• Assortment & Margin: Identify fast movers and slow movers, calculate bundles, determine contribution margin per item and variant
• Purchasing & Supply Chain: Monitor ERP purchasing, calculate new products (landed cost, customs, MOQ), renegotiate supplier conditions, create make-or-buy and investment calculations
• Costs & Partners: Scrutinize payment terms, service providers, and agencies with data
• Drive Special Projects: Commercially support international production, new product lines, and investment decisions

Qualifications

• Commercial degree or apprenticeship (Business Administration, Finance, Controlling) or comparable
• In-depth controlling/finance experience, ideally in e-commerce or trade with physical goods
• Very strong with numbers and analysis; proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and a BI tool (Power BI or Looker Studio)
• Experience with forecasting, liquidity planning, contribution margin/margin calculation, and inventory data
• The ability to independently drive commercial projects
• Fluent German, English is a plus
• Hands-on mentality, pragmatic, and with the drive to see things through
