Film and Video Editors

About the Role Mercor is seeking experienced film and video editors to support a leading AI lab in advancing research and infrastructure for next-generation machine learning systems. This engagement focuses on diagnosing and solving real issues in your domain. It's an opportunity to contribute your expertise to cutting-edge AI research while working independently and remotely on your own schedule. Key Responsibilities You’ll be asked to create deliverables regarding common requests within your specific area of expertise. This will include (but not be limited to): * Video Editing: Edit raw footage into polished videos, ensuring visual and audio quality meets project standards. * Content Creation: Produce various video formats, including promotional videos, tutorials, and educational content. * Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and other team members to understand project requirements and deliver on time. * Asset Management: Organize and manage video and audio assets, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval. * Revision and Feedback: Implement revisions based on feedback from the project team and stakeholders. * Quality Assurance: Review all video content to ensure it meets quality standards and is free from errors. Qualifications * Experience: Proven experience as a film and video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work. * Software Proficiency: Proficient in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar software. * Creativity: Creative mindset with the ability to tell stories visually. * Technical Skills: Strong understanding of video editing techniques, including color correction, audio mixing, and motion graphics. * Communication: Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team. * Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. * Portfolio: A portfolio of past video editing work is required. Nice to have * Experience with AI or Machine Learning projects is a plus. * Experience with animation or motion graphics is a plus.
