Job description

Van de Velde is an internationally successful company with over 100 years of experience in the development and production of high-quality lingerie brands such as Marie Jo, PrimaDonna, and Sarda. Become part of a passionate and professional team of over 1,500 colleagues worldwide. Our Mission: We ignite the power in women.

At Van de Velde, our employees have always been at the center. We firmly believe in the strength and potential of each individual – and especially in the power of women. This conviction shapes how we interact with our employees, customers, consumers, and women in society.

We stand for passion, quality, authenticity, customer focus, entrepreneurial thinking, and team spirit. To strengthen our sales team, we are looking for a dedicated personality who shares our values and will further advance our brands in Southern Germany.

We act with passion | We live quality | We are authentic | We focus on consumers and customers* | We are entrepreneurial | Together, we are stronger.

For a temporary employment of approximately 18 months, we are looking for a dedicated and commercially oriented Retail Trainer for the Southern Germany region (Munich as the central location for this region).

In this role, you will become the training expert and brand ambassador for our products, collections, and our fit expertise in department stores, with retail partners, and at events in your region. You will play a central role in inspiring both sales teams and consumers, and in improving the in-store customer experience and sales performance.

This is a very dynamic field position with very frequent travel within Germany, especially in Southern Germany around Munich (this is the ideal, but not mandatory, place of residence for this role). You will regularly be on the road for several days to visit customers, support stores, and conduct training.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conducting engaging product and fit training for retail partners, department stores, and sales staff throughout Germany

  • Organizing and conducting training sessions, events, classroom trainings, and webinars

  • Training store employees on collections, product USPs, fit expertise, and customer experience

  • Supporting retail teams and consumers with product knowledge and styling advice

  • Close collaboration with the sales team and mutual exchange of feedback for continuous improvement of performance and customer experience

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with department stores and retail partners through regular on-site visits

  • Close collaboration with product development and internal stakeholders to translate product knowledge into impactful training

  • Developing new training modules and materials in a creative and practical way

  • Rapidly acquiring comprehensive product knowledge in the first months of employment

You will be part of a closely connected international training team where collaboration, coaching, and knowledge sharing are central. Although the team primarily works remotely and travels extensively, there is daily communication and strong mutual support.

Your Profile

  • Experience in training, coaching, retail, sales support, or a comparable customer-oriented position

  • Experience in fashion, lingerie, textiles, or premium retail is a great advantage; passion is a must

  • You are enthusiastic about product training and enjoy inspiring people

  • You combine strong communication skills with a commercial mindset

  • You are highly organized and can effectively manage planning, travel, and various stakeholders

  • You are confident presenting to groups and can flexibly adapt your communication to different target audiences

  • You enjoy working on the road and independently

  • You are proactive, eager to learn, and can provide constructive feedback

  • You have a strong interest in fit, styling, and an optimal customer experience

  • A practical, humble, and team-oriented attitude is essential

Language Skills

  • Fluent German and English are required

  • Applications and communication for this position will be in English

Practical Information

  • Temporary employment for approximately 1.5 years

  • Frequent travel within Germany (mainly Southern Germany)

  • Flexible working hours with high personal responsibility and autonomy

  • Home-office based when not traveling

  • Visits to Belgium for collections and product training required

What We Offer

  • A temporary contract in a stable, international, and publicly traded fashion company with a positive corporate culture that encourages initiative and new ideas

  • An attractive salary package complemented by additional benefits

  • A company car for private use, including a fuel card

  • A comprehensive onboarding program as well as continuous opportunities for further training and personal development
