Field technician milieu - air quality fieldworker

You'll be joining forces to combat air pollution in our living environment. It's crucial that strict norms are followed. As such, you'll be responsible for conducting basic measurements of air quality at production companies throughout Flanders. In this role, you'll always be on the move with a colleague, where you can fully find yourself under the motto 'two is always better than one!'

A glimpse into your task package:

• As soon as you've double-checked that all necessary equipment is present in the vehicle, you'll depart together with your colleague to the client. Where you're headed depends on the schedule carefully prepared by the planning team;
• Upon arrival, you'll bring the measurement equipment up top and get everything ready to start the emissions measurements. Your day might consist of gas analyses, particle measurements, determinations of dioxins, etc.
• Did you register unusually high or low values? Then there's a possibility that your measuring device is incorrectly set or something else is amiss. Thanks to your technical insight, you'll quickly identify the problem and get the situation resolved;
• At the end of your day, you'll enter the measurement data into the computer, label the samples, and bring them to the nearest office inMelsele, Zelzate or Olen, so that your colleagues can start reporting and interpreting the obtained measurement results.
