Field Execution Technician

Job description

Position Mission

The Field Execution Technician (Installer and Maintenance Field Technician) will be responsible for carrying out activities on electrical, mechanical, and technological systems, operating both at the company's headquarters and at construction sites and operational sites, including away from home. The role involves significant field operations and availability for travel approximately 80% of working time, at construction sites and operational sites distributed throughout national and international territories.

Responsibilities

Installation Phase

  • Execution of electrical, mechanical, and system installation activities.
  • Initial system startup and preliminary testing.
  • Support for system engineers during plant commissioning.

Maintenance and Assistance Phase

  • Execution of scheduled maintenance on installed systems.
  • Fault diagnosis and repair interventions.
  • Functional checks and technical inspections on systems and components.

Work Location and Travel

  • Activities primarily carried out at construction sites, operational sites, and customer locations, with limited presence at the headquarters for organizational, training, or coordination needs.
  • Frequent travel required throughout the national territory and, where necessary, internationally, with stays at work sites for periods ranging from a few days to several weeks, depending on operational needs and ongoing projects.
  • Availability to work on holidays or outside of standard office hours, including night shifts, when required by the planning of line interruptions along railway tracks.

Technical Skills, Qualifications, and Professional Experience

The ideal candidate has ideally gained several years of prior experience in similar roles within comparable companies. Provenance from structured companies operating on a project basis, rather than from mass production contexts, is particularly appreciated.

A technical-scientific diploma is required, with a preference for studies as an Electronics Technician or Electrical Engineering Technician.

Required Technical Skills

  • Solid background in electrical and electronic fields.
  • Good mechanical skills and wiring abilities.
  • Knowledge of PC hardware.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and proficiency in using electromechanical equipment and electrical measurement instruments (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope, caliper).
  • Basic knowledge in system engineering (pneumatic and/or hydraulic) and automation will be considered a plus.

Language Skills

  • Knowledge of the English language at a minimum level of B1–B2 is required.

National Collective Agreement (CCNL): Metalmeccanica Industria

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Gross Annual Salary (RAL): Between €40,000 and €45,000, determined based on experience and acquired skills. Electronic meal vouchers and welfare benefits as per CCNL are also provided.
