You are responsible for the assessment and evaluation of provided information using state-of-the-art analytical methods and techniques to incorporate it into a central intelligence picture. You create comprehensive situational reports to identify crisis developments in the security situation in other countries at an early stage. With your analytical skills, you place gathered reconnaissance results into an overall situational picture, thus ensuring the security and effectiveness of military operations and installations. In the field of military security, you contribute to the defense and protection of the Bundeswehr against attacks by security-endangering forces, both domestically and abroad. Possible specializations include: Situational processing and analysis, information needs and reconnaissance management, shielding, security, and classified information protection.

• You support the creation of operational scenarios and reports in national and international contexts and conduct operational reconnaissance missions using sensor technology or human intelligence.
• You gain information using state-of-the-art analytical methods and techniques and contribute to protecting Bundeswehr facilities from espionage and sabotage attempts, and to supporting military operations.
• You create the basis for a comprehensive overview by the political and military leadership regarding the situation in other countries, thus early warning of crisis developments.

• You possess German citizenship and are at least 18 years old (17 years old with the consent of the legal guardian(s)).
• For the Sergeant career path, you have a Realschulabschluss (secondary school leaving certificate equivalent to a mid-level vocational qualification). Alternatively, you have successfully completed Hauptschule (lower secondary school) and vocational training.
