FBS Risk Management Specialist

Job Summary The FBS Risk Management Specialist will provide oversight and governance of the First Party Benefit Services (FBS) claims process. This role will ensure compliance with internal controls, state and federal regulations, and industry best practices. Essential Functions: * Conducts regular audits of FBS claims to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, state and federal regulations, and industry best practices. * Identifies and analyzes trends in claims data to identify potential areas of risk and opportunity for improvement. * Develops and implements risk mitigation strategies to reduce the likelihood and impact of financial loss. * Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including claims, legal, and compliance, to address and resolve risk-related issues. * Provides training and guidance to FBS claims staff on risk management principles and best practices. * Develops and maintains documentation of risk management processes and procedures. * Monitors and reports on key risk indicators to senior management. * Participates in the development and implementation of new FBS products and services. * Stays current on industry trends and regulations related to risk management. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management). * 5+ years of experience in claims handling or risk management, preferably in the insurance industry. * Strong understanding of insurance claims processes, regulations, and industry best practices. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Preferred Qualifications: * Professional certifications (e.g., CPCU, AIC). * Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
