Farm Manager - Waireka

Corteva Agriscience is a world leader in protecting and preserving our food and helping agricultural communities thrive. Waireka Research Center is a globally recognized research facility that conducts field research for the evaluation and development of new crop protection and plant health products. About the role This is a practical hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Waireka Research Center farm. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating the field operations required to support our research activities. This includes the management of planting, spraying, and harvesting activities, as well as the maintenance of farm equipment and infrastructure. You will work closely with a team of researchers and technicians to ensure that all field trials are conducted to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: * Oversee all farm operations, including planting, spraying, harvesting, and cultivation activities. * Develop and implement farm plans and schedules to support research projects. * Manage and maintain farm equipment, infrastructure, and facilities. * Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. * Manage and train farm staff. * Maintain accurate records of all farm activities. * Work closely with researchers and technicians to ensure that all field trials are conducted to the highest standards. Who you are * Proven experience in farm management, with a strong understanding of agricultural practices. * Excellent organizational and planning skills. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Strong attention to detail. * Knowledge of health and safety regulations. * Experience with farm equipment maintenance. * A relevant tertiary qualification (preferred).
