Fannie Bay Cool Spot is one of the longest running Café in the NT, located in the wonderful suburb of Fannie Bay. Our team is professional, passionate, and proud. We serve great meals from morning to night. The Coolspot also offers a great selection of catering options available to book, order and pay for online. Our opening hours are from 7:00 am until late, with the full menu available until 10 pm and a limited menu until closing.

Waiter Supervisor
About this role:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the front-of-house staff and operations to ensure a seamless and exceptional dining experience for guests. You have to lead by example, providing outstanding customer service and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the restaurant. This position is only open to professional, driven, hospitality enthusiasts with at least two years' experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment. In house training, upskilling and development is available.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervising/coordinating/training employees of food and beverage staff for a bar/counter or series of bars/counters
- Stock control for a bar or series of bars
- Ensuring customers are served in a professional and timely manner in food & beverage.
- Exercising patron care
- Balancing cash registers
- Schedule shifts and allocate tasks to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Greet guests, assist with seating, and ensure their needs are met throughout their dining experience.
- Take customer orders and place these orders in the kitchen.
- Deliver meals and beverages to tables when they have been prepared.
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and take appropriate action to address any issues.
- Ensure that service standards and protocols are consistently followed by the waitstaff.
- Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely delivery of food and beverages.
- Oversee the accuracy of orders and ensure they meet guests' specifications.
- Handle special requests or dietary restrictions and communicate them to the kitchen.
- Ensure that the dining area is clean, organized, and complies with health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with the kitchen staff, bar staff, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to facilitate efficient service.

About this role:
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations in the restaurant. This includes managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining quality and hygiene standards, and driving profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
- Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff, including servers, cooks and support staff.
- Create and maintain employee schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage during peak hours.
- Monitor and uphold high standards of customer service, ensuring guests have a positive dining experience.
- Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and effective manner.
- Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and inventory management.

Cook/Chef (Sous Chef)
About this role:
We are looking for a motivated, passivate and innovative cook to deliver exceptional and unique food experiences to our guests, you need to have 2 years' experience of cooking in a kitchen, able to cook food based on customer's orders and requirements and deliver exceptional quality dishes to our guests. Candidates need to be able to work weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment as required by employers.
- Familiar with different recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
- Prepare and cook food based on customer's orders and requirements
- Ensure appealing plate presentation and monitor food quality
- Assist other staffs as needed
- Monitor food stock and report to mangers if any integrant is missing or needed
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area
- Store food in temperature-controlled facilities
- Follow resort/ restaurant polices and procedure
- Meet and maintain the health and safety and anti-discrimination required by food industry and government regulations
- Adhere to food, sanitary and safety standards and maintaining relevant workplace health and safety procedures
- Maintain current Food safety and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) qualification.
Skills and Experience:
- At least 1 year experience working as a culinary expert in a kitchen (hotel or resort)
- Certificate IlI in Culinary cooking is desirable
- A genuine love of food and a passion for a variety of cuisines
- Ability to work in a team and busy environment
- Able to work autonomously and demonstrates sound knowledge of cooking
- A strong focus on teamwork
- Able to assist in provision of on-the-job training
- Knowledge and continued learning of HACCP guidelines
