Family Support Worker

Job description

Sanza Teaching Agency is working in partnership with a nurturing and inclusive SEN School in Southwark who are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker to join their dedicated team. This role is vital in helping to support families and children, providing emotional support, guidance and practical help to parents and carers. The ideal candidate will be able to build strong relationships with families, work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the development of the school's family support provision. Key responsibilities include: • Providing emotional support and guidance to parents and carers • Building strong relationships with families and contributing to the development of the school's family support provision • Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a range of family support services • Supporting the development of children and young people, including those with special educational needs • Providing practical help and advice to parents and carers, such as signposting to local resources and services • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to the evaluation of the school's family support provision. The ideal candidate will have experience of working with families and children, preferably in an education setting. A relevant qualification or training in a related field would be advantageous. This is a term time only position, 35 hours per week (8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday). The salary for this role is £32,907-£38,070 (pro rata £27,649) and the start date will be as soon as possible.
