Our client is a small Melbourne CBD practice known for steady client relationships and thoughtful guidance across a range of matters. Their team is respected for handling sensitive and complex issues with empathy, and they work closely with clients to deliver practical, cost-effective outcomes. You would be joining a close group of around ten professionals who value collaboration, integrity and careful advocacy.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will work alongside the Family Law Principal, gaining direct exposure to a broad mix of family matters while developing your confidence in advocacy and client care. This growing practice offers access to varied files and the chance to build strong foundations early in your career.

• Manage parenting and property files under supervision
• Draft affidavits, applications and settlement documents
• Support negotiations and mediations
• Prepare briefs and assist with court appearances
• Conduct legal research and maintain accurate file records

What You’ll Bring

• Admission to practice in VIC with 2–4 years PQE in family law
• Strong drafting and communication skills
• Ability to manage competing tasks with support
• A thoughtful, steady approach to client care
