Factory Manager

A well-established textile manufacturing company based in Lansdowne, Western Cape, is seeking an experienced Factory Manager to oversee daily production operations and drive continuous improvement within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven professional with a proven track record in factory or production management, particularly within the homeware sector (bedding, cushions, and soft furnishings). The ideal candidate will be hands-on, methodical, and able to lead by example, ensuring that all team members are empowered to take ownership of their work. Key responsibilities include: • Overseeing daily production operations, including planning, organizing, and controlling manufacturing processes; • Developing and implementing strategies for continuous improvement, focusing on quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness; • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including production staff, quality control teams, and logistics personnel; • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring seamless integration of new initiatives into existing operations; • Maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines; • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements; • Providing coaching, guidance, and support to production staff to ensure they are equipped to meet performance targets and achieve their full potential.
