Job description
The role
As a factory engineer, you and your team will share technical product responsibility for all components produced by us.
Your tasks include:
- Providing support to production with product-technical questions and quality issues;
- Acting as an internal point of contact for the assessment and processing of product changes;
- Taking responsibility for setting up the correct process steps with associated instructions and tools such as packaging and lifting tools for our production routings;
- Setting up logistics parameters, outsourcing, bills of materials, and process steps in our BaaN ERP and Teamcenter PLM system.
Within the role of factory engineer, you will work closely with production, logistics, quality, and the internal project organization. Within the Parts department, in addition to your general tasks, you will directly participate in improvement projects managed by your colleague program managers, representing the engineering perspective. You will also be the direct point of contact for one of the production work groups. Here you will develop a deeper understanding of your process and product knowledge, supported by various technical specialists.
Your strengths
- You have experience with machining processes in a high-tech environment;
- You have worked with Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S;
- You have knowledge of industry standards regarding production technology;
- You are familiar with standardization and documentation of processes, flow, process FMEA, control plan, etc.;
- You are a team player and can collaborate well, forming a connection between the shop floor, project organization, logistics, and engineering;
- You are communicatively skilled in both Dutch and English.
