We are looking for temporary support for our team for the duration of a maternity leave.
????The handover of the subject matter expertise is planned and will be carefully supported. This way, you can gradually familiarize yourself with the task and confidently start your new role.
????You will take on the subject matter expertise for blindness and visual impairment at 60% and, depending on your workload, additionally work as a Nursing Specialist HF in day shifts.
????In your role as subject matter expert, you will support our residents in living as independently and safely as possible with their visual impairment. You will advise on suitable aids, contribute your expertise to the team, and collaborate closely with external specialist organizations.
What awaits you – accompanying people, opening perspectives
????️????️You are close to the residents
You will support our residents in the areas of low vision, orientation and mobility, practical life skills, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT). You will proactively approach them, observe their daily lives, and together with them identify where support, advice, or suitable aids are beneficial.
You will advise our residents in selecting and adapting suitable aids and, if necessary, clarify possibilities for cost coverage.
You will accompany new residents upon admission with a special focus on the effects of blindness or visual impairment. You will identify possible stress and crisis situations early on and support the planning of appropriate measures.
????You connect people and expertise
You will impart knowledge about blindness and visual impairment and conduct practical training and input sessions for employees. You will ensure that your expertise reaches where it is needed in daily practice.
You will work closely with nursing, activation, relatives, and external specialist organizations, coordinate collaboration, and accompany relevant processes, for example, together with rehabilitation specialists for people with visual impairments.
????You contribute to shaping special offers
You will conduct individual activities for our residents, such as audio-described film offerings or other activities tailored to the needs of people with visual impairments.
