Exciting tasks await:

• Triage of newly admitted inmates and assessment of whether an examination of fitness for detention is necessary, as well as medical admission interviews
• Independent conduct of consultations for inmates to ensure basic medical care, including diagnostic assessments (clinical examinations, laboratory tests, electrocardiogram, ultrasound examinations, etc.)
• Interpretation of diagnostic results, derivation and implementation of medical care and therapeutic measures
• Obtaining (specialist) medical assessments via Telepresence/Healthpresence (video conferencing with doctors)
• Administrative tasks, ordering, preparing, and dispensing medication

What you bring:

• Degree as a registered nurse HF (Higher Education) and completed further training (NDS Intensive or Emergency Care HF or similar)
• Several years of professional experience in acute medicine
• Independent way of working, as well as resilience and decisiveness in emergency interventions
• Good user knowledge of MS Office, oral foreign language skills are an advantage
• Driver's license category B, impeccable reputation (current criminal record and debt enforcement register extract), willingness to work shifts with alternating days off

In the Lenzburg Penitentiary, persons who have been sentenced to a prison term or a custodial measure are cared for. The facility comprises 380 places for closed custody, pre-trial detention, and short sentences.

The Central Prison of the Lenzburg Penitentiary is expanding its services and creating a specialized admission department that will handle all cantonal admissions around the clock in the future. To ensure medical care in the admission process, a specialized healthcare service is being established, which will play a central role in the initial health assessment and support of the admitted persons.
