The world of insurance is more complex, digital, and exciting than ever. And yet, it's often communicated in a way that puts people to sleep. That's what we want to change – with the Maklerblog, the first professional medium for the insurance and financial sector, created by the community for the community. Here, content is being created that really gets read: clear, accessible, on the same level as the professionals who write and read it.

The Maklerblog is our core, but not everything. At NewFinance, we're accompanying other customers and projects from the insurance and financial sector with strong content.

We're looking for someone who wants to accompany this world editorially and shape it together. With genuine journalistic craftsmanship, a sense of people and themes, and the drive to actively influence an industry in flux.

Aufgaben

What's waiting for you

• You're one of the central editorial forces at Maklerblog: You'll be supporting our specialist authors from the insurance sector, accompanying them from the initial theme impulse to publication, and ensuring that content really works: linguistically, in terms of content, and in tone
• You'll work journalistically yourself: your own research, articles, and interviews with industry professionals are an integral part of your daily routine
• Journalism doesn't end at the text for us: If you'd like, you'll also be working on video, audio, or other multimedia formats
• You'll occasionally accompany branch or NewFinance-owned events editorially: on-site, with an eye for the stories behind them and a keen sense of social media
• You'll develop editorial ideas, recognize themes that move the community, and bring your own impulses into play
• You'll work for other publications and projects from our customers in the insurance and financial sector
• You'll think about what can become a topic on LinkedIn, Facebook & Co. and will be happy to implement it with us
• You'll use KI-Tools like ChatGPT or Claude as smart support for good craftsmanship, not as a replacement for it

Qualifikation

What you bring

Must-haves:

• Journalistic professional experience in an editorial office, agency, publishing house or corporate communication
• A completed studies (journalism, communication, German studies, business administration, etc.) and/or a volunteer or comparable training
• A really good writing: You'll find the right tone for different target groups and know how to win people over
• Social media affinity: No expert status required, but you think social and are not afraid to learn and support the team here
• Curiosity and self-initiative: You won't wait for topics to be assigned to you

Nice-to-haves (and a real plus):

• Ties with the insurance or financial sector – whether through previous stations, own research or simply genuine interest in the topic
• Experience in B2B communication or working with specialist target groups
• Liking for and experience with KI-Tools in editorial work
• Pleasure in interviews or other dialogical formats, as well as multimedia formats

What's just as important to us:

• You don't just want to produce texts; you really want to understand what you're writing about
• You have genuine interest in the insurance industry, even if it seems dry at first glance. We promise: It's not.
