Who we are

GIG Gesellschaft für integrierte Gesundheitsversorgung mbH is a network of modern medical service centers that is breaking new ground in outpatient medicine. The Algesiologikum in Munich – one of the leading centers for pain medicine in Germany – is part of this network. To strengthen our IT team at the Munich location, we are looking for a dedicated IT professional who will share responsibility for technical operations, implement and coordinate cross-site IT projects, and ensure that our IT infrastructure remains secure, stable, and future-proof. The position offers ample room for independent work. You will largely organize and prioritize your tasks independently, coordinate with internal contacts and external service providers, and ensure that tasks, decisions, and technical changes are properly documented.

Your tasks

• Support, administration, and further development of our cross-site IT infrastructure
• Focus on 2nd-level support and handling of tasks arising in 1st-level support
• Structured recording, processing, prioritization, and documentation of tasks, incidents, and requests in the ticketing system
• Administration of Windows workstations, Windows servers, Active Directory, Group Policies, and Microsoft 365
• Administration and further development of the network and communication infrastructure, including site networking, VLAN, routing, firewall, and VPN
• Administration and further development of virtualized server environments with VMware and Hyper-V, as well as performing P2V migrations
• Support and monitoring of data backup with Veeam
• Ensuring client and server security through patch and update management, endpoint security, and other IT security measures
• Implementation, integration, and migration of IT systems and practice management systems
• Independent implementation and coordination of IT projects, especially when taking over and integrating new locations – from coordination with employees and external service providers, to adapting the IT and network infrastructure, to migrations, rollouts, and system introductions
• Coordination and support of external IT service providers in projects and in ongoing operations, especially at remote locations
• Technical support for other GIG locations, predominantly remotely, and also on-site when necessary
• Support and training of medical specialists and other employees in daily IT use
• Maintenance and continuous development of IT documentation as well as technical processes and standards

Your profile

• Completed apprenticeship as an IT Specialist System Integration (m/f/d), IT System Electronics Technician (m/f/d), or a comparable IT qualification
• In-depth knowledge of Windows server and client environments, Active Directory, Group Policies, and Microsoft 365
• Good knowledge of server virtualization with VMware and/or Hyper-V
• Good knowledge of administration and error analysis of networks and cross-site IT infrastructure; knowledge of VLAN, routing, firewall, and VPN is an advantage
• Experience with data backup, ideally with Veeam
• Knowledge of patch management, endpoint security, and basic IT security concepts
• Experience in 2nd-level support and in structured analysis and resolution of technical issues
• Very good German language skills, both written and spoken
• Driving license class B
• Willingness to undertake regular business trips to our locations and facilities, predominantly within Bavaria
• Structured, process-oriented, and meticulous working style with a high demand for comprehensible technical documentation
• Ability to organize tasks independently, prioritize them according to urgency and impact, and reliably follow up on them
• Willingness to take responsibility for your own topics and projects and to drive them forward independently
• High service orientation, teamwork skills, and professional interaction with medical and administrative users
