Tasks

• Administration, maintenance, and further development of the entire IT infrastructure
• Care for Windows- and Linux-servers as well as Windows-clients
• Administration of virtualized server landscapes based on VMWare/Proxmox VE
• Setup, operation, and maintenance of Docker-containers and containerized applications
• Installation, configuration, and management of hardware and software
• Administration of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and user and rights management
• Care for the network and security infrastructure (switches, firewalls, VLAN, VPN, WLAN)
• Planning and implementation of updates, data backups, system migrations, and emergency concepts
• Monitoring of system availability as well as analysis and correction of hardware and software errors
• Setup and care for modern workplace systems, notebooks, and mobile devices
• Support for internal software development in development-, test- and deployment-infrastructure
• Automating recurring administrative tasks using PowerShell and Bash
• Documented IT systems and participation in IT and digitalization projects

Qualification

• Completed training as a Senior IT Specialist for System Integration or equivalent qualification
• Good knowledge of Windows- and Linux-systems
• Experience in administering VMWare/Proxmox VE or comparable virtualization solutions
• Knowledge of operating and managing Docker-containers
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and group policies
• Good network knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, firewall)
• Ideal experience with backup solutions, monitoring, and shell- or PowerShell-scripting
• Self-motivated, structured, and solution-oriented work style
• Teamwork skills, sense of responsibility, and high service orientation
• Interest in new technologies and continuous further education
