Responsibilities
As part of Transaction Diligence in Cologne, Munich, or Frankfurt/Main, we support FinTechs, InsurTechs, startups, brokers, as well as clients in the private equity and banking sectors in strategy and M&A projects, and in the implementation of various buy-side and sell-side consulting services. You will take on a variety of responsibilities:

• You will conduct market and company analyses within the scope of strategy and management consulting projects for financial services companies (insurance companies, banks, asset managers, and brokers/intermediaries) as well as InsurTechs/FinTechs/startups.
• You will be jointly responsible with the team for analyzing the annual financial statements and financial figures of a target company within the scope of a Financial Due Diligence.
• You will identify risks and purchase price-relevant issues and conduct strengths/weaknesses analyses in order to provide our clients with a recommendation for action regarding a purchase/sale decision.
• You will jointly assess the financial situation of our clients with the team (e.g., analysis of revenue streams, costs and profitability, as well as working capital/net cash, and liquidity, identifying hidden reserves/liabilities).
• You will support our clients in strategic and financial matters, as well as in purchase price and sale agreement negotiations, and in developing transaction structuring options.

Profile

• You have completed a degree in business administration with a focus on business subjects (e.g., Finance, M&A, Accounting, Controlling, Insurance Studies, and Banking Management).
• You have initial practical experience in the financial sector and/or in the Strategy and Transactions/Corporate Finance/M&A area (e.g., during an apprenticeship, internship, or student worker position).
• You have initial knowledge of accounting according to HGB (German Commercial Code) and international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), as well as very good communication and presentation skills in German and English (at least C1 level for each).
