Expert Maintenance (m/w/d)

Shape the maintenance of our new fleet – with real train power

We are building a modern, efficient, and future-proof maintenance landscape for our new fleet at FlixTrain. To do this, we are looking for experienced rail professionals who want to bring their expertise and at the same time explore new paths.

About the role

In this key position, you will be responsible for building and implementing a comprehensive maintenance process landscape that ensures the safe, compliant, and cost-effective operation of our fleet.

Specifically, this means:

• Together with our partners, you will develop a complete maintenance system for new fleets – in line with EBO, ECM regulations, CSM-RA, and other relevant guidelines
• You will define standards, workflows, and interfaces for all maintenance processes – from preventive maintenance to troubleshooting and accident response
• You will establish a professional interface management between maintenance service providers, workshops, manufacturers, and the EVU
• You will develop the requirements management for our maintenance infrastructure and represent the maintenance interests in the construction and procurement process
• You will ensure that the developed maintenance system is fully implemented, integrated, and sustainably anchored at our partners and internally – including clear responsibilities, data flows, and process interfaces
• You will bring your rail experience to shape processes in a practical, safe, and efficient manner

About you

• You have a completed degree or comparable qualification
• In addition, you bring more years of experience in rail maintenance – for example, from workshops, ECM organizations, vehicle manufacturers, or EVU.
• You also have experience in modeling, optimizing, and implementing maintenance processes as well as building maintenance systems
• You work structured, self-responsible, and keep the overview even with complex topics
• You communicate clearly and bindingly – in German and English (C1), Spanish is a nice-to-have
• Travel readiness is self-evident for you
