Expert Network Engineer IP (m/w/d)

Your Tasks

You shape the IP and MPLS architecture of our network – the essential foundation for future technologies like autonomous driving, the Metaverse, Virtual Reality, and Gaming.

Thanks to modern IT and far-reaching automation, we rely on State-of-the-Art-Prozesses, which optimally support our customers throughout all phases of the Customer-Lifecycles – both for our customer-facing Business Support Systeme as well as for the network-side Operations Support Systeme – and ensures maximum efficiency and innovation.

What awaits you:

• Tech Responsibility: You take over the selection of IP technology and define the network topology IP.
• Strategic Planning: You plan the MPLS layer and develop scalability models with.
• Collaboration with System Manufacturers: Together with manufacturers, you define configuration settings and conduct Proof-of-Concept tests.
• Capacity Management: You support central Capacity Management with your expertise.
• Technical Product Design: You actively contribute to the development of Bitstream Access products.
• Concept Development: You develop and maintain VLAN, Routing, and IP concepts.
• Direct Reporting Line: In this role, you report directly to the Engineering Department Manager.

This Defines You

• Fachliche Qualifikation: Completed studies in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a comparable qualification – alternatively several years of relevant work experience.
• Work Experience: Experience in engineering or planning IP networks.
• Certification: Ideally, a CCNP certification or equivalent knowledge from other system manufacturers.
• Technical Know-how: In-depth knowledge of protocols BGP4, MPLS, IPv4/6.
• Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Motivation & Pragmatism: Passion for innovation and the digitalization of Germany.
• Language: Very good German language skills (at least C1) as well as secure English language skills required.
