Expert IT Architect (Kafka) Miejsce pracy: Gdańsk Technologies we use Expected Kafka Java Python DB2 Kubernetes About the project You will join a strategic initiative within the Payments Processing domain, focused on improving the performance of the PIP payments processing pipeline ahead of the SEK Batch go-live. The project involves redesigning and optimizing several critical microservices to significantly increase processing speed and reduce latency. The target is to achieve high-throughput, low-latency, and scalable architecture for the PIP payments processing pipeline. This will be achieved by leveraging Kafka as a message broker, Java-based microservices, Python-based data processing, DB2 database, and Kubernetes container orchestration. You will work closely with the Payments Processing domain team to ensure seamless integration of the new architecture with existing systems. Key responsibilities: • Design and implement scalable, high-performance, and low-latency architecture for the PIP payments processing pipeline using Kafka as a message broker. • Redesign and optimize several critical microservices to significantly increase processing speed and reduce latency. • Collaborate with the Payments Processing domain team to ensure seamless integration of the new architecture with existing systems. • Develop and maintain technical documentation for the project. • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on coding standards, best practices, and design decisions. • Work closely with other teams to identify and resolve technical issues. Requirements: • Strong experience in designing and implementing scalable, high-performance, and low-latency architecture for large-scale distributed systems. • In-depth knowledge of Kafka as a message broker and its applications. • Proficiency in Java programming language and experience with microservices-based architectures. • Familiarity with Python programming language and data processing frameworks. • Experience with DB2 database management system. • Knowledge of Kubernetes container orchestration and containerization concepts. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
