About the Role

• Assist the head chef in preparing and presenting authentic regional dishes using locally sourced ingredients.
• Design and update seasonal menus that celebrate Australian produce and culinary traditions.
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior kitchen staff, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Maintain strict hygiene, safety, and food handling standards at all times.
• Work collaboratively with restaurant management to ensure seamless kitchen operations in the absence of the head chef
• Assisting the head chef with stock control, ordering and stock rotation.

About You

• Proven experience as a chef, ideally specialising in regional Australian cuisine.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
• Passion for innovation and commitment to delivering memorable dining experiences.
