Experienced Occupational Therapist - Community/Clinic-Based
Job description
Job title: Experienced Occupational Therapist - Community/Clinic-Based Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 per annum super Location: Bertram, WA The Role As a mobile community-based OT, working as part of a collaborative inter-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality, person-centred supports throughout the Bertram, Rockingham and South Metro regions. Working in partnership with families and support & carer networks, you will be across a range of disability related needs, including but not limited to: • Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualised plans that promote independence, participation and community inclusion for individuals with disabilities. • Providing person-centred supports and interventions that address the physical, cognitive, social and emotional needs of individuals with disabilities. • Collaborating with families, support & carer networks, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to service delivery. • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, including families, support & carer networks, and community-based services. • Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practice and evidence-informed approaches in occupational therapy. • Maintaining accurate and timely records of client interactions, assessments and interventions. • Contributing to the development and implementation of service plans and programs that promote community inclusion and participation for individuals with disabilities. The Ideal Candidate Will Have: • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (OT) from an accredited institution. • Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the relevant professional body. • Minimum 3 years' experience working as an OT in a community-based setting, preferably in a mobile or outreach capacity. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with families, support & carer networks, and other healthcare professionals. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities. • Familiarity with relevant legislation, policies and guidelines related to disability services. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
