Kalamata Taverna Pty Ltd, an authentic dining destination specialising in Mediterranean and Greek cuisine, is seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a dedicated Chef with a flair for Mediterranean and Greek cooking. The successful candidate will bring creativity, consistency, and a strong understanding of traditional flavours, while maintaining high standards in the kitchen and ensuring an excellent dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan, prepare, and cook authentic Mediterranean and Greek dishes with exceptional quality and presentation.
2. Create and refine menus to highlight seasonal and traditional flavours.
3. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, stock control, and ordering supplies.
4. Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
5. Ensure compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health regulations.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience as a Chef in a restaurant environment.
2. Strong knowledge and passion for Greek and Mediterranean cuisine.
3. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
4. Excellent teamwork, communication, and leadership skills.
5. Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery or equivalent industry experience.
