Mission & Vision The National Heart Network (NHN) transforms cardiovascular care in Germany. With its own, modern, and AI-driven research data platform, we systematically generate Real-World Evidence from clinical practice and translate it into measurable improvements for patients. The NHN captures and analyzes treatment data sector-wide and integrates patient perspectives prospectively. This enables the NHN to provide precise, data-based guidance for cardiovascular care on a national level. The NHN has the potential to become a blueprint for Germany's data-driven healthcare landscape.

Starting Situation The NHN will be founded as a spin-off of the German Cardiac Society (DGK). A seed funding in the two-digit million range has been secured. This provides entrepreneurial freedom to build a nationally visible institution that can quickly and agilely operate despite being in a highly regulated environment. You will lead the NHN operationally as part of a founding trio consisting of CEO, CTO, and CSO (Medicine & Science). Your responsibilities include organizational setup, governance, finance, HR, and developing sustainable business models. Our goal: to make success measurable within two years through functional implementations.

Tasks

You will bring entrepreneurial design skills and take overall responsibility for the operational buildup of the organization – particularly in terms of law, finance, HR, governance, and business operations – and shape a goal-oriented corporate culture. You will develop pragmatic solutions to remain agile in a highly regulated area (including data protection, regulatory requirements, medical devices) and position the NHN strategically vis-à-vis politics, service providers, cost bearers, research, and industry. Together with CTO and CSO, you will recruit key positions and strategically shape the NHN within the founding trio.
