Executive Azure Data Engineer - Data & Cloud

Job description

The Data & Cloud team is responsible for delivering services to Clients in the broad area of data analytics, data platform modeling, and Business Intelligence. We utilize modern Microsoft and Databricks technologies, while constantly developing and seeking new ways to meet market demands. We are currently looking for an experienced developer with competencies in building data platforms (Data Lakehouse), including cloud infrastructure implementation, ELT data processing creation, and data modeling design. Executive Azure Data Engineer - Data & Cloud Job title description Designing modern data platforms in the Azure environment (Data Warehouse, Data Lakehouse) considering performance, scalability, and reliability; Designing, maintaining, and implementing batch data flows including ELT processes, and integrations between cloud systems and on-premises systems; Designing, maintaining, and implementing streaming data flows; Automating deployments within CI/CD processes; Supporting the client in requirement analysis and data source identification; Analyzing collected data, and managing it in data warehouses and relational databases; Advising on the selection of optimal solutions tailored to client needs; Close cooperation with the business owner, project manager, business area experts to effectively implement projects; Developing and maintaining project documentation. Requirements Min. 4 years of experience in delivering data engineering solutions in a consulting environment or within projects for multiple companies; Very good knowledge of the Azure platform (Databricks, Fabric, Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Logic Apps); Commercial experience in implementing data platforms using Databricks, Synapse Analytics, or Microsoft Fabric technologies; Very good knowledge of SQL and Python; Experience in designing tests for deployed analytical solutions; Supporting and promoting good software engineering practices within the team; Experience in independent collaboration with the client in identifying and analyzing requirements and implementing deployment projects; Experience in preparing summaries of test results, analyses, and documentation in Polish and English; Higher education – preferred: computer science, quantitative methods, or related fields; Very good knowledge of English, spoken and written; Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical individuals and business stakeholders. Knowledge of AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) and the ability to use them to improve processes, analyze data, and automate tasks. Nice to have: Practical knowledge of Azure platform administration; Experience in automating the deployment of cloud solutions and creating infrastructure as code (DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as a Code) and using the Azure DevOps tool; Implementing solutions based on streaming data processing; Knowledge of Git version control systems; Knowledge of PowerShell.
