Excavator Operator - Night Shift

What you’ll be doing

• Operating excavators and a range of earthmoving equipment during night-shift operations
• Completing tasks such as trenching, excavating, grading, and backfilling
• Assisting with general site works as required
• Carrying out regular maintenance and safety checks on machinery
• Following all health and safety procedures and night-work protocols
• Working collaboratively with the team to meet project deadlines and quality standards

What we’re looking for

• 3–5 years’ experience operating excavators and earthmoving equipment
• Strong understanding of safe machinery operation, especially in low-light/night conditions
• Ability to read and understand site plans or drawings
• High attention to detail with a strong focus on safety
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Valid machinery operating licences/tickets
• Flexibility to work night shifts and move across Wellington sites as required
