We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Evolved Packet Core (EPC) / 5G Architect to join our growing team. As an EPC / 5G Architect, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of our 4G and 5G core network infrastructure. You will work closely with other engineers, product managers, and vendors to ensure that our network meets the evolving needs of our customers and the demands of the mobile industry. Key Responsibilities: * Design and architect 4G/5G core network solutions, including EPC, and 5GC, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security. * Define and document the architecture, configuration, and integration of network elements. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., engineering, product management, operations) to align network architecture with business goals and customer requirements. * Evaluate and recommend new technologies and vendors to enhance network capabilities. * Provide technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team. * Oversee the implementation and testing of network solutions. * Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues. * Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in mobile networking. * Develop and maintain network documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and operational procedures. Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. * 10+ years of experience in telecommunications, with a focus on core network architecture and design. * Strong understanding of 4G (EPC) and 5G (5GC) core network technologies, including: * MME, SGW, PGW, HSS, PCRF, and ePDG (EPC) * AMF, SMF, UPF, AUSF, UDM, PCF, and NRF (5GC) * Experience with network virtualization and cloud technologies (e.g., NFV, SDN, Kubernetes). * Knowledge of mobile network protocols (e.g., GTP, Diameter, S1AP, X2AP, NAS). * Experience with network security principles and practices. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bonus points: * Experience with specific vendor platforms (e.g., Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei). * Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python). * Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent). * Experience with VoLTE and IMS technologies.
