Your Mission

At Pennylane, events are an integral part of our marketing strategy. Every event we host or participate in is an opportunity to make our brand tangible, connect with our (potential) customers, and create unforgettable experiences for them.

Our goal for the German market is clear: We want to establish Pennylane as a key player – and events are one of the central levers to achieve this goal.

That's why we are looking for our first Event Manager for the German market, based in Berlin.

As a true organizational talent, you will be responsible for Pennylane's event presence in Germany. In close collaboration with the Head of Events and the German teams, you will co-develop our event strategy for Germany and implement it with the highest quality standards – from the initial idea to execution.

You will work closely with the GM Germany and develop a deep understanding of his vision and ambitions for the German market. You will gather requirements, proactively anticipate needs, and translate his vision into concrete, impactful on-site actions.

At the same time, you will work hand in hand with the Germany Marketer to optimally align our event activities with local marketing initiatives. Together, you will ensure that each event fits into our overarching marketing strategy while being tailored to the specificities and expectations of the German market.

Your Tasks at a Glance

Pennylane's Presence at Partner Events

• You will select relevant events for Pennylane to participate in and be responsible for the entire event logistics from start to finish.

• You will organize and coordinate the selection of service providers, setup, on-site operations, and dismantle of our exhibition stand.

• You will coordinate the on-site teams and ensure the smooth running of the entire event.

Concept and Implementation of Own Pennylane Events

• You will gather the needs of our internal teams and develop special event experiences that fit our brand and support our sales teams.

• You will monitor market trends and identify relevant opportunities early to develop a suitable event calendar.

• You will design event formats that align with our goals and available budgets.

• You will select, brief, and manage service providers and suppliers.

• You will coordinate all organizational steps and ensure that deadlines and contractual obligations are met.

Internal Coordination

• You will brief all involved teams and ensure smooth cross-departmental collaboration.

• You will support the teams with their logistical requirements related to events – from branded merchandise and print materials to other equipment.

• You will coordinate orders and the production of our event materials.

Visibility of the Pennylane Brand

• You will ensure that our communication materials for events are up-to-date and in line with our brand.

• You will coordinate the ordering of branded merchandise and materials according to our Brand Guidelines.

• You will be the guardian of our brand presence, ensuring that Pennylane is presented consistently and with high quality at every touchpoint of an event.

Tracking & Reporting

• You will keep an eye on our event budgets and ensure transparent budget tracking.

• You will keep our event calendar up-to-date and anticipate the required resource needs early on.

• You will regularly report on results and key learnings from our events.
  

Your Profile

Your Experience

• You have 3-5 years of experience in Event Management – ideally in a Tech, SaaS, or B2B environment.

• You have proven experience in managing complex projects with various internal and external stakeholders.

Your Skills

• Fluent German is a must, and you also have very good professional English skills. French skills are a plus.

• You are a true all-rounder and feel comfortable with both strategic thinking and operational implementation.

• You have solid experience in budget management and managing external service providers.

• You work in a detail-oriented and structured manner and can keep an overview even with multiple parallel projects.

Your Mindset

• You are curious, proactive, and solution-oriented.

• You are willing to travel regularly within Germany and occasionally within Europe.

• You enjoy getting hands-on and want to be in the thick of the event action – from the initial concept to the on-site dismantling.

🏢 You can work from the Berlin office or remotely on a regular basis from your place of residence, as long as it is in Germany. Regular work from other European countries is possible if the time difference to CET (Central European Time) is no more than two hours.
