Job description

Event & Field Marketing Specialist (m/f/d) – Hospitality Industry

Summary

At Lightspeed, we believe that to truly understand the hospitality industry, you have to be an active part of it. We are looking for a dynamic Event & Field Marketing Specialist to conceptualize, execute, and scale experiential events in key German cities (Berlin and Hamburg). This position is based in Berlin.

In this role, you will act as an event strategist, local community manager, and build long-term relationships. You will shape the local 'vibe' and transform offline events into impactful brand advocacy and measurable pipeline growth. If you have a proven track record in event production and a passion for the hospitality scene, we need you on our team.

Your Responsibilities

  • Experiential Production & Execution: You will be responsible for the entire ideation, logistics, and execution of local activations. This ranges from intimate breakfast roundtables and working lunches to exclusive industry networking events at customer locations.

  • Activation of 'Local Legends' (Anchor Program): You will work closely with our key existing customers, utilizing their locations as 'anchor' sites. You will plan and design impactful events that attract local industry influencers, top chefs, consultants, and premium prospects.

  • Vendor & Venue Management: You will identify, negotiate, and coordinate local venues and service providers. You will ensure all activations are executed flawlessly, within budget, and in accordance with our brand standards.

  • Industry Networking: You will build strong relationships with key external stakeholders, industry associations, and thought leaders in the hospitality sector to firmly anchor Lightspeed within the local culinary and nightlife scene.

  • Commercial Alignment: You will work closely with the Field Sales team to keep regional marketing materials highly relevant and provide the team with insights and success stories from the field.

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: You will collaborate with regional Integrated Marketing Managers, Product Marketing, and Social/Content teams to ensure that event magic is translated into compelling digital content.

Measuring Success (KPIs)

For us, every event should not only inspire but also measurably drive business growth. You will be responsible for directly linking your offline activities to our digital sales funnel:

  • Pipeline Attribution & ROI: You will conduct meticulous tracking to ensure that every local event, dinner, or influencer activation directly contributes to lead generation and sales pipeline.

  • Event Performance Metrics: You will work with Integrated Marketing Managers to set and achieve clear goals for event attendance, cost per attendee, and post-event guest satisfaction.

  • Data-Driven Reporting: You will draft concise monthly performance reports that demonstrate how local field marketing activities accelerate regional sales momentum and brand loyalty.

  • Event Tech Optimization: You will utilize CRM tools, event management platforms, and analytics dashboards to measure campaign impact and gain insights into which city-specific tactics offer the greatest leverage.

What you bring

  • Proven Event Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in event management, field marketing, or event production. You know how to solve problems on the fly and deliver a seamless guest experience.

  • Passion for Hospitality: You feel completely at home in the hospitality industry. You understand how restaurants, bars, and venues operate, speak their language, and ideally have an existing network of operators or influencers.

  • Field-First Mindset: You love being on-site at activations, not just sitting in an office. You possess high emotional intelligence and excel at management in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

  • Strategic & Autonomous: You are a 'self-starter' who doesn't need a rigid guideline. You recognize opportunities to bring communities together, create business cases and budgets for them, and execute them flawlessly.

  • Sales-Oriented: You recognize that events are a crucial top-of-funnel driver. You instinctively know how to turn an event conversation into a meaningful discovery opportunity for our sales team.

Desirable

  • Tech & CRM Proficiency: Experience tracking campaign impact in enterprise tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, or Looker.

  • Attribution Know-how: Experience using UTM links, trackable QR codes, and digital landing pages to measure physical-to-digital engagement.

Application

Please include a link to your portfolio or examples/social media posts of hospitality events (e.g., industry nights, pop-ups, panel discussions) that you have personally produced, along with a brief note on your role in their execution.

To all recruitment agencies: Lightspeed does not accept unsolicited agency resumes. If we have not directly engaged your company in writing to supply candidates for a specific vacancy, Lightspeed will not be responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes.
