About the opportunity – 24 hours per week (select your preferred days!) Based in Wellington (Christchurch or Palmerston North may be considered for exceptional candidates), you’ll be responsible for the management of the Quality Management System, actively managing quality assurance and associated evaluative processes and the internal and external assessment moderation activity for training for over 2500 learners employed by our Service Providers as well as for Transpower internal System Operator Training. You’ll become immersed in what we do contributing to the development of cohesive, high-quality programme and course documentation working closely with Sector Workforce Development team members, SME’s from the Electrical Supply Industry, Grid Skills https://www.transpower.co.nz/our-work/grid-skillshttps://www.transpower.co.nz/our-work/grid-skills and Transpower trainers and facilitators, in addition to external learning and design consultants and suppliers. Utilising your exceptional organisational, influencing and communication skills you’ll build relationships and liaise with and participate in external quality assurance body monitoring and activity. This includes managing and overseeing post-assessment moderation and collaborating with NZQA and other standard-setting bodies. What will you bring? * ~ Five or more years previous experience in a quality assurance role at a tertiary provider including a sound and current understanding of evaluative quality assurance and NZQA’s expectations * Previous experience with development and review of national qualifications including working with standard setting bodies and NZQA processes * Sound internal and external assessment moderation experience * Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work under pressure, set priorities and manage tight timelines across multiple initiatives Pragmatic, calm, and evidence-based, you are known for your continuous improvement mindset, welcoming opportunities to improve both enterprise outcomes and your personal approach. While not essential a tertiary qualification in a related field (e.g. Adult Education, Teaching) and/or equivalent experience and/or holding unit standards 11551 and 11552 or equivalent would be advantageous.
