Your Tasks in Our Team:

As an ETL Developer, you will strengthen our team and work closely with our clients in the banking environment on-site to understand their requirements and develop high-quality data and analytics platforms.

To do this, you will build scalable pipelines, automate processes, and ensure robust, traceable data quality. At the same time, you will be a consultant and technical contact person for our clients when it comes to finding the best solutions for their business and technical challenges.

Your tasks include:

• Design, development, and adaptation of ETL pipelines in data warehouse environments in the financial/banking sector

• Participation in migration and replacement projects for existing DWH/ETL solutions

• Planning and execution of technical regression tests as well as development of new concepts for test/production environments or handling test data, ideally with machine processes

• Analysis and resolution of technical deviations

• Support in the conversion and harmonization of data formats and character encodings (e.g., in the course of system or platform changes)

• Collaboration with other teams to ensure that projects are completed within the timeframe and budget

Qualifications

What you bring with you:

You have a completed university degree or a solid vocational training in computer science and possess experience and knowledge in software and ETL development. Furthermore, you should be able to demonstrate the following:

• Many years of experience with ETL software, ideally with projects in the banking or financial services sector

• Very good understanding of data warehouse architectures and structures

• Very good knowledge in the design and implementation of ETL processes in relational DWH architectures

• Very good SQL skills in common database systems (e.g., DB2, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SAP HANA)

• Ideally, practical experience with Informatica PowerCenter (or comparable ETL tools)

• Many years of experience in Java development

• Experience in migration and replacement projects in the DWH environment

• Experience in planning and implementing technical regression tests and data comparisons

• Strong consulting and communication skills – including a confident command of the German language, both written and spoken

• Advantageous: Experience with the conversion of data/character encodings or similar technical transformation projects

• Experience with agile working methods (SCRUM / Kanban)

Analytical thinking, conceptual skills, and a very good ability to grasp complex topics are among your strengths, as is solution orientation and independence. You possess flexibility and the willingness to work independently, as well as a high degree of self-motivation and quality awareness.
