Job Description:
  • The ETL Developer is responsible for end-to-end development, enhancement, and support of ETL processes.
  • This role involves gathering requirements, designing solutions, developing code, performing unit testing, preparing documentation, and supporting QA and production teams.
  • The developer will work across multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring timely delivery and high-quality output.
Requirement/Must Have:
  • Experience with ETL development using Matillion and DataStage.
  • ETL unit testing and documentation.
  • Ability to create and update software design documents.
  • Experience interacting with business teams and supporting BA during requirement finalization.
  • Strong Unix experience (DataStage scripting).
  • Python experience (Matillion scripting).
  • Knowledge of databases such as Snowflake SQL, Netezza, MySQL.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud (Blob Storage, DevOps, Git).
  • Ability to update/create runbooks.
  • Ability to work on enhancements and new development.
  • QA testing support.
  • Work estimation and timely delivery.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel.
  • Code deployment and documentation.
Experience:
  • Knowledge of production support is good to have.
Responsibilities:
  • Gather requirements from business and support BA team.
  • Estimate effort and plan development timelines.
  • Develop ETL code and perform thorough unit testing.
  • Deploy code to testing environments and support QA.
  • Promote code to higher environments for regression testing.
  • Provide knowledge transfer to production support.
  • Deploy final code to production.
Should Have:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
Skills:
  • ETL Tools: Matillion, DataStage.
  • Scripting: Unix, Python.
  • Databases: Snowflake SQL, Netezza, MySQL.
  • Cloud: Azure (Blob, DevOps, Git).
Qualification and Education:
  • Relevant technical education or equivalent experience.
