Summer 2026 | Electrical Engineering Internships – University Level

In the context of the summer internship season summer 2026, we are looking for electrical engineering interns to join various divisions, including the teams from Bâtiment, Energie & Ressources, Transport and Infrastructures.

Our internships are offered in diverse locations, within our 40 offices across Canada.

During the selection process, you will have the opportunity to exchange with our teams to identify the types of projects that best match your interests and aspirations.

• The Bâtiment team designs high-quality structures and intervenes at all stages of projects, from planning to construction. It stands out for its innovative engineering solutions and expertise in high-performance projects across Canada.
• The Energie & Ressources team conceives and modernizes energy and industrial infrastructure, including electrical networks, power plants, and production facilities. It contributes to the development of sustainable, efficient, and tailored solutions for clients. It accompanies the entire project cycle, from planning to commissioning.
• The Transport team realizes various projects in urban and rural environments: planning, design, and reconstruction of road infrastructure. It adopts a durable approach integrating all modes of transportation to improve mobility and safety
• The Infrastructures team supports municipalities and developers in the conception, evaluation, and improvement of essential networks (drinking water, wastewater, drainage). It proposes solutions adapted to local needs while respecting deadlines and budgets.

Main Responsibilities

As an electrical engineering intern at CIMA+, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to your host team's projects. Depending on the department (Bâtiment, Transport, or Infrastructures, etc.), your responsibilities may include:

• Participate in electrical system design: plans, diagrams, single-line diagrams, cabling, lighting, low- and medium-voltage networks, specifications.
• Perform electrical calculations and analyses: loads, short-circuit currents, protections, selectivity, equipment and conduit sizing.
• Contribute to modeling and updating plans (AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP, etc.).
• Prepare plans, drawings, and calculations based on specifications provided by the client or defined by CIMA+
