About the role: As an estimator, you will work with a tightknit team of estimators, pricing analysis, and project management to secure profitable contracts. Your main responsibilities will include: * Preparing accurate and competitive tenders for landscape, building and maintenance projects. * Analysing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine project scope and requirements. * Calculating costs for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. * Preparing and submitting tender submissions within deadlines. * Collaborating with the project management team during the project lifecycle. * Maintaining and updating cost databases and estimating tools. * Identifying and mitigating risks associated with each project. * Building and maintaining relationships with clients and suppliers. To be successful in this role, you will need: * Proven experience as an estimator, preferably in the landscape, building, or maintenance industry. * Strong understanding of construction principles, methods, and materials. * Excellent numerical and analytical skills. * Proficiency in using estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. * Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. * Excellent time management and organizational skills. * A relevant qualification in construction, quantity surveying, or a related field is desirable.
