Job description

Why Join Georgiou - A STRABAG company

Georgiou is seeking an Estimator with relevant qualifications and experience to join our high-performing estimating team and play a pivotal role in securing large-scale building projects across Western Australia.

At Georgiou - now proudly part of STRABAG SE, one of Europe's largest construction technology groups - you'll join a business where local expertise meets global opportunity. For nearly 50 years, we've built Australia's infrastructure and our reputation for being the best people to work with.

With Georgiou's local knowledge and experience and STRABAG's forward-thinking innovation, we're delivering projects that connect communities, develop people, and set new industry benchmarks, all while staying true to the culture and values that make Georgiou unique.

Why You'll Love Working Here:

* Build impact that lasts - work on iconic projects shaping Australian communities.
* Grow without limits - access world-class training, mentoring, and career pathways across Australia and STRABAG's global network.
* Flexibility that works for you - enjoy wellbeing leave, paid parental leave, and support to help you stay connected to life beyond work..
* Belong and be supported - inclusive facilities like free hygiene products, parental and prayer rooms, and wellbeing programs.
* A culture that cares - our values of Care, Integrity, and Excellence guide everything we do.
* Reward for your work - competitive packages, annual reviews, and access to the Georgiou Perks discounts platform.

About the role:

In this role, you'll take ownership of first-principles estimating, collaborate with construction and engineering teams, and contribute to competitive tender submissions valued typically between $40M - $150M.

Our estimating team is high-performing and pragmatic, we value precision, good banter, and mutual support. You'll be joining a group that works hard to win the right work and supports each other to get there.

If you're a Quantity Surveyor or a Contracts Administrator looking to transition in the contractor space, or a Junior Estimator looking to step up, this is your opportunity to be part of a supportive environment where you'll learn from some of the best in the business.

You will be trusted to:

* Prepare and coordinate first-principles estimates (direct and indirect costs) for civil infrastructure tenders.
* Collaborate closely with design, construction and engineering teams to fully understand project scope, delivery methodology, and client expectations.
* Support the end-to-end bid process - from pricing and methodology to risk assessments, tender reviews, and submission.
* Produce clear, accurate, and high-quality tender documentation and presentations.
* Build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the estimating function.

Your skills and experience:

* Experience in estimating and cost planning in the building environment.
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project cost drivers.
* Excellent analytical, numerical and communication skills.
* A collaborative mindset with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
* Proficiency with estimating software (experience with CostX highly regarded).
* A tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying.
