Hairstylist - Beauty Salon

Title of Position:

Assistant Hairstylist / Assistant Beauty Salon

Job Summary:

Provide integral support to main hairstylists in a beauty salon. The assistant is crucial to ensure the salon functions efficiently and clients receive high-quality service, assisting with client preparation, work area maintenance, and basic hairdressing tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

Clean, condition, and dry clients' hair as preparation for the hairstylist.

Prepare and maintain clean workstations, ensuring they are stocked with necessary tools and products.

Clean, sweep, and disinfect tools, equipment, and common areas of the salon.

Mix dye formulas and prepare capillary treatments under the direct supervision of the hairstylist.

Assist in applying color, highlights (mechas) or treatments.

Manage product inventory, clean towels, and salon supplies.

May support reception tasks, such as scheduling appointments and receiving clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

Prior experience in the beauty industry and desire to learn hairdressing.

Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and customer service vocation.

Ability to work as a team, follow instructions meticulously, and work under pressure.

Good time management and organizational skills.

Physical resistance to stand for long periods.

Initial training in cosmetology or hairdressing (or currently enrolled) will be valued.

Monthly Salary: $10,000.00
