The Quality Control Intern position is an important component of our Quality team located in Guarulhos - SP.

Position Details

Assist in the qualification of equipment and validation of analytical methods, as well as perform validations of various spreadsheets, under constant supervision and observing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological and/or chemical and/or physico-chemical analyses (e.g., pH tests, appearance, particle size, loss on drying, water content, among others) of in-process, raw material, and/or finished product samples.
• Prepare culture media, perform tests for the presence of extraneous microorganisms (PME), evaluate producing strains and/or extraneous microorganisms through microscopy, prepare smears, inoculate culture media. Know and apply appropriate sterilization and asepsis techniques. Sample germinator, fermenter, and addition tank, as well as the pilot plant, with this activity being specific to Process Control and Fermentation Development laboratories, but requiring monitoring.
• Monitor the entire thermal qualification process, including documentation.
• Monitor the entire analytical method validation process, including documentation.
• Perform routine equipment verifications/calibrations and environmental readings.
• Transfer various materials from the warehouse and stockroom to the laboratory.
• Prepare, transport, and organize retention samples for all products analyzed in the Quality Control Laboratory.
• Register the entry of laboratory materials.
• Deliver or retrieve material requisitions and documents from the purchasing department.
• Apply labels with the status of raw materials/packaging, if necessary.
• Prepare/fractionate samples for the stability program.
• Prepare retention samples for products according to procedure CQ.1005.ur (latest revision).
• Prepare reagents and routine laboratory solutions.
• Keep analytical records and other documents updated.
• Prepare and wash glassware.
• Keep the work area organized, clean, and identified.
• Report to the immediate supervisor the need for consumables and/or equipment requiring maintenance and/or calibration so that analyses are accurate and comply with GLP standards.
• Strictly follow GLP and GMP standards, consult the SDS (Safety Data Sheet) and use appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

Education & Specializations:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering or a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, with expected graduation from 2028 onwards.

Internship Schedule: Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 15:00
