Senior Customs Specialist

Job Description

External Trade Process:
-Prepare customs documentation for Temporary and Definitive Importation: (Raw Materials, Machinery, Equipment, and Tools, Hazardous Materials, Indirect Materials).
-Prepare customs documentation for Exportation: (Finished Products, Raw Materials, Machinery, and Equipment, Indirect Materials, Hazardous Materials, Waste).
-Prepare customs documentation for Virtual Importation and Exportation: (Raw Materials, Machinery, Equipment, and Tools, Finished Products, Waste).
-Prepare customs documentation for Regime Changes: (Raw Materials, Machinery, Equipment, and Tools).
-Prepare customs documentation for Regularizations.
External Trade Programs:
-Register, Monitor, and Maintain imports and exports in the customs inventory control system.

-Perform internal controls by comparing information in our system with the General Ledger of the Customs Administration (AGA) on a monthly basis.

-Integrate and maintain physical and electronic files of imports and exports.

-Prepare and analyze customs reports.
-Analyze and verify correct payment of bills of lading.
-Identify and Monitor fixed asset inventory in Plant.
-Apply correct tariffs and programs (IMMEX, PROSEC, Eighth Rule, Certified Company, Origin Review).

-Prepare and deliver sub-contracting notices to government agencies.

-Gather and provide information for the Customs Agent.
-Maintain databases in different customs systems.

-Provide customs support to clients and internal stakeholders.
-Gather and analyze information for compliance with OEA and CTPAT programs.
-Conduct audits of internal processes in the customs operation.
