INTERNAL MEDICINE TEACHER

Health Sciences Teacher (Internal Medicine)

In this role, you will be responsible for guiding, inspiring, and accompanying the educational and clinical development of students, teaching the Internal Medicine subject. Your main purpose will be to impart fundamental theoretical-practical knowledge for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of adult patient pathologies, consolidating ethical and excellent learning in future medical professionals.

Your main challenges

Plan, design, and deliver dynamic, interactive, and clinically focused class sessions for the Internal Medicine subject, ensuring the comprehensive fulfillment of the curriculum.

Foster an inclusive, equitable, and mutually respectful learning environment that stimulates analytical thinking, medical ethics, and professionalism in those in the classroom.

Design and implement teaching strategies based on clinical cases or simulation that elevate the diagnostic competencies of the student community.

Evaluate and provide timely feedback on the academic performance and practical skills of students, promoting continuous improvement.

Actively collaborate with campus coordinators and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of educational and institutional quality.

Measure, analyze, and communicate performance results with a focus on academic impact and knowledge retention.

Profile we are looking for

Indispensable requirements:

Academic training: Completed Bachelor's degree with a title in General Medicine, Medical Surgeon, Medical Surgeon-Obstetrician, with an INDISPENSABLE specialization in Internal Medicine

Professional experience: Desirable 1 year as a front-of-class teacher or demonstrable experience as a Treating Physician/Attending Physician in University Hospitals, Chief Resident, Trainer, etc.

Technical competencies: Indispensable knowledge in the use of learning management systems and platforms such as Teams or similar.

Desirable:

Current certifications from the relevant specialty board or postgraduate studies focused on medical education.

Experience in university educational or hospital training environments.

Key competencies: Strategic thinking, collaborative leadership, orientation to student community service, empathy, and a solid analytical and clinical vision.
