Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Remote Sensing Specialist to join our team in Brazil. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting remote sensing surveys and analyzing data to identify trends and patterns in the environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in remote sensing and GIS, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities Conduct remote sensing surveys using a variety of sensors and platforms, including satellite and airborne sensors, and analyze data to identify trends and patterns in the environment. Develop and implement remote sensing protocols and procedures to ensure data quality and consistency. Collaborate with other team members to integrate remote sensing data with other data sources, such as field observations and monitoring data. Analyze and interpret remote sensing data to identify trends and patterns in the environment, and make recommendations for conservation and management actions. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities. Provide training and technical assistance to local communities and stakeholders on remote sensing and GIS technologies. Requirements Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as remote sensing, GIS, or environmental science. At least 3 years of experience in remote sensing and GIS, preferably in a conservation or environmental context. Strong background in remote sensing and GIS, including experience with a variety of sensors and platforms. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences. Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package.
