Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

Develop the execution of strategies for Security, Occupational Health, Environment, and Sustainability based on key performance indicators and internal/external regulations, with a focus on continuous improvement, which will result in sustainable prevention of workplace risks, accidents, occupational diseases, and environmental impacts within the organization, ensuring business continuity.

Has the authority to stop any unsafe act or condition that may cause harm to people, installations, or the environment, as well as manage corrections for these risk situations.

• Coordinate the development, measurement, and monitoring of programs and activities for defining strategy, key indicators, and projects relevant to the site, as well as contribute to measures for achieving objectives
• Evaluate the level of compliance with legal and internal requirements, acting as a contact point for authorities on EHS matters in accordance with RB/GF 120
• Review and approve work standards and documented information required, such as procedures, formats, and operation instructions, as well as direct training and instruction related to site requirements and regulations
• Coordinate the timely registration of necessary information for the HSE database
• Coordinate the development of HSE campaigns
• Promote the training program according to legal and internal requirements
• Advise on risk and environmental impact assessments, as well as support in preparing and analyzing incident reports (location analysis, 8D report)
• Coordinate audits, inspections, and visits from various stakeholders
• Coordinate activities necessary for executing the review by management
• Coordinate compliance with requirements of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 systems, if required
